On Tuesday April 17, 2012 Purple Stripe Productions owner Lynette Young has reached the 1 million follower mark on Google+. With an estimated 170 million users on the Google+ platform, Ms. Young is one of only 145 people (according to CircleCount.com) to reach the 1 million+ statistic.
Purple Strips is putting together an overview (not a case study, it’s too early for that & there isn’t enough data) of businesses using Google+ in addition to other social networks that have seen promising gains in their measurable goals.
I received an invite within hours of it hitting closed beta to the highly-leaked new social networking platform from Google called Google+. After playing with the platform for about three days now, I’d like to share some of my initial thoughts, reactions, and predictions.
